Dr. Glenn Rothfeld and Dr. John Reed are not providers for any HMO/PPO or major insurance networks. They do accept GIC Indemnity Plan. Dr. Rothfeld also accepts Federal BC/BS.
Dr. Chernack is an HMO provider for Tufts and Blue Cross Blue Sheild. A referral from your Primary Care Provider is necessary for any HMO insurance.
We ask for payment at the time of your visit. We will provide you with a receipt which you can send into your insurance. Although we do not guarantee reimbursement, many PPO and POS insurance plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse a portion of the visit after your deductible is met.
Medicare
Dr. Rothfeld does not accept Medicare, and Medicare will not reimburse for his visits. In compliance with federal legal guidelines you will sign a waiver stating that you will not submit any claims for Dr.Rothfeld’s services to Medicare.
Dr. Reed and Dr. Chernack accept Medicare, and your office visits will be covered after a deductible is met. Medicare does not cover acupuncture, vitamin infusions, chelation, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy. You will be expected to pay for these services at the time that they are rendered. Medicare pays for most laboratory tests, but some specialty nutrient tests might not be covered.
Insurance coverage for other services
Acupuncture benefits are available with some insurance; call your insurance if you think this may be the case. Otherwise, acupuncture is not a covered service. Other services such as nutrient infusions, chelation, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy are not covered. Nutritional and herbal products are generally not covered under pharmacy benefits.
