In the United States today, there are nearly 12,000 acupuncturists; only a quarter of whom are Medical Doctors. At The Rothfeld Center, we offer acupunctural treatments, administered by three highly skilled physicians who have trained for many years in the field and have come to value acupuncture as a viable treatment to many ailments.
Though acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine, Western science has added a lot to the knowledge of acupuncture. From a Western scientific standpoint, acupuncture affects our nervous systems, our immune system, as well as our endocrine system, in order to relax muscles and nerve tissues, lessen inflammation and thereby facilitate the healing of our bodies.
